Faith appears in the bible around 243 times in the bible. You'd heard from Pastor Kong that God response to faith.So what does the bible says about faith?
Romans 10:17
Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word
Hebrew 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him
Matthew 17:20
So Jesus said to them,'' Because of your unbelief; for assurely, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible with you.
Ephesians 3:20
Now to him is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, According to the power that work in us (Faith in us towards God)
Of course God loves us to be having a 'nothing is impossible attitude' to him but do you know that God has faith in us?Let me show you the chapter and verse =)
Mattew 16:18
And I say to you that you are peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it.
This verse clearly shown that Jesus who is 100% man and 100% God say to his disciple Peter that he has faith in him because no devil can be against him as he build his church. This word is not in the bible by coincident. However, Jesus spoke to peter (on this rock). Hence it is important that God build his church on a solid foundation as he has faith in us. Zhan Rong, God has faith in you not just passing you chinese but you can scorce an A1 even. God has faith in this cell group that it will surely grow!But remeber....
James 2:20
But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without work is dead?
So we must mix our faith with work at the same time=)
Speaking about faith, let me ask you a question: Who is your favourite teacher of all time? Think back through all your years in school from kindergarten ti your recent education. Who stands out? Is there a teacher who changed your life? Most of us have one. Mine was actually my primary four and five teacher named Mr Andrew leong and Mr faisal.
What make that teacher different? Was it subject knowledge? Was it teaching technique? Though your teacher possessed great knowledge and mastered outstanding techniquem I'm willing to bet that what seperates that teacher was that he/she saw mw as a 10 out of a 10. In other words, have faith in me. The teacher who threaten you and tells you how ignorant or in undisciplined you are isn't the one who inspires you to learn and grow.It's the one who think you're wonderful and tells you so. I like maths a lot. I like maths a lot. Even though there was a period I grew to hate studies, I still love maths. Why?
The journey started way back where I was in kindergarten .I aced nothing but just maths only and my family never fail to encourage me about how good I am. My primary four and five teacher never fail to reward me when i aced it. They have faith in me doing well in maths!
What I am trying to say is Faith edifys and encourage people. Instead of saying a person cannot achieve what he is trying to why dun you reassure him that he can do it? In cell group , why don't we start having faith in each other. A place of agreement is a place of ower, isn't it?
In conclusion,
Ephesians 6:16
above all taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked one.
Faith is a shield. As youth praying warriors, we need to pick up our shield of faith not just to defend ourself but also protecting others with our shield of faith.Of course god's shield of faith is watching over us. In the mean time, let us abide(live in) Faith, Hope and Love ^^

A new building for CHC !

it was 3pm plus plus i think i was going to meet jess for bible study at serangoon.
then going the time i nid cross one t junction meaning the car can go

ok got the meaning anyway right i was going cross teh t junction to go to mrt...........
before this incident happen,
ok i going downstairs in lift time i go use earpiece then start walking toward mrt
then walking toward the stupid t junction time i kana msg by jess then i look at the road ahead of me to see if there is any car coming,there is a car it is on the inner lane but nvr on signal to turn i continue replying jess msg then i suddenly feel something bad (maybe holy spirit warning me) then i look up the car/mini lorry !?!?!?! turn inward to me i chua tio sia heng arh i jump out of the way nearly falling but ok lo.
i chua sai sia my leg turn jelly after walking a few steps ok the jelly is a expression i didnt wobble la just walking slowly thinking wat had actually happened

i was so chua tio i go wrong mrt and after tapping in i notice iwent to the wrong mrt dotz i was gonna take farrer park mrt to go to serangoon faster ma ,i end up go to lavanda mrt which is a longer way to serangoon dotz

I can do everything!
I just want to post anothing quick event. I really want to thank God for His strength cos recently, like some of you guys know,im pretty busy and like with my chingay rehearsals that last up to 10pm at area around singapore flyer on a weekend and i'd really be very tired the following day. and like today, i really learnt that i can depend on God for strength. Because i only reach home at 11 plus yesterday and today i thought that i would sleep during lessons, but apparently, i had the strength to listen very hard and really pay attention. My school today ended at 6.15pm also. so i didn't really have much break.
I believe that prayer and hardwork is really the key to successes in life and that with God, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE :D This year is going to stretch me till my max and i'm gonna make piorities to certain things and things are going to be very different this year!
Always remember that God is forever my Jehovah Jireh, God our PROVIDER. And i'm gonna continue to trust that God will guide me through all my ups and downs in my life and im not gonna lose faith in Him ! No matter how big or small the problem im facing, i can always turn to God and put my 101% trust in Him !

God's grace upon our lifes.......
Upon the blessing i have recieved from God about the new handphone, I also thank God for being graceful to me! It happened last monday that I lost my wallet on a bus trip. Not realizing that i have lost my wallet on the bus until I walked into the bank trying to get my IC out. My Ez-link was also in my wallet and i couldn't find my wallet at the bus stop. I tried calling home to ask my brother to help me but he told me that he was doing something and asked me to walk gome. When the call ended, I was at the bus stop and I saw a bus driver whom is a good friend of my mother and a good friend of mine.She happened to be driving the same bus i took just now (410W) She borrowed me her Ez-link card and told me to report the lost IC again and again. I have faith that i will find the wallet! When i reached the Bus interchange, just like every fairytale, my wallet was found. I really thank God for that.

there is NOTHING too hard for the Lord.
This year will be quite a packed year for me i would say , especially when i have started a full time job, planning to start part time studies in may, and even having to handle my church ministries and personal stuffs. I kept thinking 'oh man, its so gonna be stress and packed up and seriously might not even have time to meet up my own friends or family members etc'. However, while i was reading about Sarah being able to bring forth the birth of Isaac at the age of ninety and Abraham at the age of 100 yrs old(book of Genesis), i am double sure that my situation compared to the birth of Isaac is nothing, and hence it will be made possible having to have an expansion in my capacity to handle it.
The origin name of Isaac means 'laugh'. sometimes when we think about our own situations, about how other say 'dont worry, im sure ur situation will be made better'.. we'll laugh about it and even think in our mind 'oh come on, please la, i doubt it can be done'. this is exactly what Sarah did when God told Abraham that they are going to give birth to a son named Isaac at the age whereby childbearing has stopped. However, this is when we gotta believe in God, that He is Almighty God, that no matter what circumstances we r in, nothing is too difficult for Him to do. Hence, because of Abraham's belief, Isaac is birth forth(:
Maybe some of us need a breakthrough in studies, maybe some finance prosperity, or it can be as simple as having a relationship patchup with your family members/ friends.. why not let's trust in God today, that He will begin to bring us through our situations no matter how 'big' our problems may be.

Hello people, this post is gonna be short but sweet. I just want to share that im really blessed by the word Pst shared yesterday during service(: Really learnt to expand and enlarge myself through God's vision. And i really believe that God speaks through visions and we really must learn to wait upon the Lord during our personal quiet time and not to rush through everything.
And like what pastor said, when we enlarge ourselves, we will not get bondage, but BREAKTHROUGH (: i believe that im not the only one who wants to see a breakthrough in my life but all of you guys also want it too. so i learnt quite a lot and i really pray that i'll be able to see a breakthrough this year in my life :D

NYP Open House

Kangwei and me went to visit NYP Open House after visiting TP with Haoyi and shawn. While we were walking around, a NYP Staff asked us whether we want to join the Hunt For It game and we decided to join because the prize was very attractive (Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800). Around 7.15PM we went to Block L, Level 5 to register our team, the game started around 7.50PM. The 1st and 3rd Game was easy but we stucked at the 2nd game Deconding Numbers cause it is quite hard. The Final Game was the hardest amoung all the games and we were the last 4 teams to go inside the theatre to find the balls. There were already more than 15 teams who went inside for more than 15mins+ and cant find it. I really feel like giving up but thinking of the prizes were N97 and Nokia 5800, so i continue to find and i manage to find the ball with all the persons inside the sticker and we won. I want to thank GOD for blessing me with this phone. I also wan thank Kang Wei for playing this game with me and letting me take N97. We really have fun @ NYP Open House.

i was reading through Genesis Chapt 3(you can read it), when i realise that in our life, God has shown us what we're supposed to do and the what's not. Just like how God has told Adam and Eve, that they can eat EVERY FRUIT from the garden of Eden EXCEPT the one that is of the good and evil.
this is where the word OBEDIENCE comes into the picture. That is why God allows the devil to come into our life, so that we are tested. i mean if God tells u today that tomorrow He will get the devil to test you, will u get ready about it? DUHHH? hence, He just allow us to go through it to see if we're truly obedient towards Him.
sometimes when things fail, we put the blame on God, saying that it is He who caused all these things to happen, just like how Adam placed the blame on God saying that the woman that God has created gave him the apple to eat. However, what we didn't realise is that this ain't God's fault.. but end of the day, the problem lies with us! BECAUSE WE SIMPLY FAILED TO OBEY!
Friends, in this brand new beginning of 2010, i know many of us are busy(including myself), but let's make a decision to obey what God has spoken to us. Do not look to the right, or to the left, let us look upon Jesus. Let's make this year a year of OBEDIENCE towards our Lord, Jesus Christ. (:

Faith,Hope and Love

I am the fourth to post! Nothing spectacular about that -.-................
But! I just want to share about faith, hope and love. If you are asking why I post something like this, it is probably because of compassion I guess.
Last year when I was going to city collage for my crash course. I came upon an old guy who wasn't wearing shirt. At Tiong Bahru, the slopes are quite steep. The topless uncle is barefooted in his wheelchair. Although I was late for my crash course, I still went forward and help him. This old man was nothing out of the ordinary. So I ask him where he wants me to push him to. He was topless and barefooted. He spoke little and uses more of his finger to give me directions. In the end, he led me to NTUC. Nothing is wrong with that, I thought. So I went on pushing him, the startling issue was that he led me to buy TOTO! I help him get a paper, and he scribe some marks at the paper and hand me the money. The money he gave me was coins, loads of coins. Cent by cent, dollar by dollar. His money was not kept in a fanciful wallet but just a humble plastic bag. So, for the first time in my life, I brought 4D for this uncle (of course through someone. Don’t think I will break the law hor….) Following that, he directed me to the toilet. Being a wheel bounded person I went into the handicap toilet with him. If you people think that the poles are useless, I came to see how vital those poles are for handicap people. He couldn’t really stand up and I use great strength to help him up. At this point of time, I have a feeling he rarely bath. I mean if he needs people to help him to stand up, I pondered about how he can bath himself. The toilet trip was long. The last destination was the coffee shop. So what did he kept by his side? A plastic bag of money, some newspaper and bread brought from the cake shop. By the way, when he brought 4D, he was really thankful for what I did to him. He’d say that if he every win , he will give me all the money. The point is not about him striking this lottery or not. It is just that at the point where you are so old and maybe lonely, you’d realise what is important are relatives, friends and for myself God. Money can’t buy them, neither can money make them. There we were at the coffee shop, once again I have to help him up after buying coffee for him. One and a half hour have pass. I realise how late I was for my crash course. I told him that I have to go, I push him back to the mall. I couldn’t bear leaving him. I got his address and make a short prayer in Chinese for him. Although it was not that of a good prayer, he kept nodding his head and has faith for what I supplicate for.
That was the last time I saw that old man. I tried tracking him by the address he gave me but I couldn’t find him. For me it was a very heartfelt experience. Throughout the whole 2 hours, I came across this verse:
1 Corinthians 13:13
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Through the Oxford dictionary
Abide: To stay or live in something
The bible states clearly that now, live in faith hope and love. Somehow, this verse never says that hope and faith is not important. It just says that living in love is the foremost important thing to do. I have made a cycle about faith, hope and love. It will be put up the next thing I will be posting about. In the meantime, let us continues to live in faith, hope and love…..
Yes! For all those schooling people, good luck for all upcoming tests and exams. I guess we will be praying for one another daily. Like what the bible says:
James 2:20
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
Remember about what Pastor Tan preached concerning change? Two types of people can’t change: The dead

Okay, I shall share a little of what happend in school today and a little verse i have to share to everyone. So for me, it was as usual and teacher gave us a minute to quickly pray to God about our upcoming year and what kind of character we expect of ourselves. And of course, with only 1 minute, you can't really pray much, so i prayed everything on brief and this verse came onto my mind:
"So do not fear for I am with you; do not
be dismayed for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand." -Isaiah 41:10
I came upon this verse while i was looking for some verse to encourage myself and also to put it on the timetable that I'm printing. This verse really motivated me to continue to place my trust in God throughout thick and thin :D I know that this year isn't gonna be easy for any one of us as it's gonna be another eventful year ahead, but nevertheless, i'll always remember to depend on God for his strangth and wisdom !
Oh, and i got nominated as class Esther. Which is like a leader for the spiritual lives of people on my class :D Although i didn't really want this position in the class in the beginning but i think that this is a good chance to really bring the Word of God into many lives of others because even non-christians would gather and pray together with us during our school 'cell group' time :D

We’ve finally created a blog!
I know you must be wondering why we want a cg blog. We mentioned that we want to see the cg growing more mature, equipped in the word, hence we got to start doing something! (:
In this cg blog, u get to see different upcoming events of the cg, but the main reason is to allow us to pen down the revelation that u have received from God on a particular day or if u have any testimony to share, about what God has blessed you on any days, u can pen it down as well(: Let us have at least one person sharing everyday yeah? Not only will u be blessed, but u will encourage the rest in the cg as well! So people, start sharing your revelation that u received from God from today onwards! =)
Oh yes, first of all, pastor gave us a 2010 goal setting card, please ensure u fill up all your goals by Saturday 9/1/10! Let’s really start the year right by planning our way, so that God can direct our path! Remember what pastor kong always say, ‘if u fail to plan, u plan to fail’. So let’s plan so that we’ll have a great year ahead of us! (:
Secondly, remember the bookmark I gave some of you yesterday? The purpose of this bookmark is for memorizing the bible books from old to new testament. You have exactly 2 weeks to memorize them. This will help u in turning the bible faster! And I will test u on the first cg meeting of the year. There’ll be a gift for the best person in memorizing it fluently(:
So people, do remember to do these 2 things and most importantly! Let’s post our revelation if u have any to share! (:
